EV Chargers

Electric Charging Solutions

If you’re considering the purchase of an electric vehicle and adding an electric vehicle charger to your property, you’re in the right place!

You will need a certified electrical contractor experienced in EV charging station installation. JZ Electric Ltd. provides residential and commercial EV charger installation in Vancouver as well as support services.

Our electricians will come to your home, business, or building to assess technical specifications for your site and the space where the EV charger will be installed. You will receive an estimate for the scope of the work required to complete the installation.

What is an EV Charger

When you purchase an electric vehicle or plug-in hybrid, you can use your home’s electricity to charge it. However, wall outlets can be slow to charge some vehicles so owners will choose to install a charging station designed for home or commercial use.

There are three levels of EV chargers. We install Level 2 (40 amp) chargers.

Charging times will vary depending on the brand of charger, as well as the EV model and year.

Reasons to Install a Level 2 EV Charger:

  • Save time, receive a faster charge

  • Convenience – you choose the most accessible location

  • Increase your property’s resale value

  • Take advantage of government rebates (see BC Hydro)

  • Uses a connection to a 240-volt outlet, like those used by ovens

  • Charges 30 km per hour

  • Takes 6 to 14 hours to fully charge a battery EV (4 to 8 hours for a plug-in hybrid)

  • Use in homes, businesses, and common areas
